Internship

1. Purpose
We are running Summer Internship Programs to provide our students with a variety of job-searching opportunities. For those who are looking for opportunities to make their career and at the same time earn additional credit, our Internship Program will be the perfect fit. Each Summer, numerous students in our department are accumulating valuable experiences in a variety of entities such as Political Party, Governmental Organization, Research Institution, Press Corporation, and so on.
2. Qualification Requirements
Junior and Senior of Department of Political Science and International Relations
3. Participation
After the Internship destination is set, students get to go through 4~8 weeks Internship schedule. Course Credit is granted contingent upon the students’ completion of weekly reports and final report, and a student evaluation submitted by Internship provider. It is counted as 3 Major Elective credits.
4. Application
Announcements are posted in May every year. Prepare for required documents and submit it to the Department Office.
5. Internship Opportunities
For the last four years, our students have gone through Internship programs in Korea Foundation Global Center, Dong-A Daily, East Asia Institute, The Asan Institute for Policy, National Human Rights Commission of Korea, National Assembly Member Office, Iraqi Embassy in Korea, KOICA, CBS, Asia Business Daily, and so on. We are expanding Internship cooperation every year to encompass student needs. Especially, after 2012, we have expanded our Overseas Internship opportunities and have sent Taekyeong Kim(Class ‘06) and Dami Jung(Class ‘10) to Harvard Graduate School of Public Administration for 4 weeks in 2012 and 2013, respectively.
